I am looking to get a dog. I live in a residence hall, so there would be college students frequently stopping by. I would like a dog that is good with strangers (doesn’t bark at knocking, won’t snap if someone pets it) and also is good with other dogs (so people with dogs can dog-sit). There is a 50 pound maximum where I live on how heavy the dog can be. It would also be nice if the breed is easy to train and groom. Any suggestions would be great

what kind of dog do you think this is?? we got her a couple of days a go at the humane society. she is about 1 year old and a female. she is really docile and very friendly. the human society said he might be a pit bull mix but they weren’t sure

My parents, both in their mid sixties, had to put their dog down a couple weeks ago. They are still grieving but are probably going to get another dog in the spring. Mom wants a dog that’s not too old but I can’t see them dealing with a hyperactive puppy. Their old dog was about 60 pounds but I think they will want a smaller dog this time. Does anyone have suggestions on which breeds are more laid back and easier to train and which ones they should stay away from? Thanks for your suggestions!

I have an 7 year old male toy poodle at home and I am planning another toy poodle bu this one is female and just 6 months old. My dog is quite the jealous type and is not used to having strangers in the house. He gets very stressed and agitated among stranger and he acts like he’s gonna get a nervous breakdown when he sees other dogs.
